Something different

No cycling today – it was time to branch out and do something new.

Of course I did morning gymnastics and the morning 3Km run and then a little later a short gym session but after that came the Aquathlon.

A large group of people aged between about 6 and 70 ranging between experienced triathletes and decidedly not experienced have-a-goers gathered for a 200m swim followed by a 3KM run. I am pleased to report that although I was one of the slower swimmers I made up for it on the run with a very respectable (for me) 12kph average speed. This speed may have been influenced by the fact that I was desperate for a pee and there were two kids running a little bit behind me so I felt it inappropriate to do a ‘Paula’ (Radcliffe) by the road!!!! Anyway I was not the last in.

My legs ache but I Sue was impressed – can’t ask for more than that.

Taking a day off intense exercise tomorrow to go scuba diving – probably a little bit of exercise in the afternoon.

Thanks for the link Nick. You’ll be pleased to know I have printed your itinerary and put it on my wall at work to follow your progress. Nicola :0)
