Sunday 15th May – Club La Santa day 2

May 15, 2016 | default

Yesterday I mentioned morning gymnastics and the daily run. See pictures below:

There were people up on the balcony behind me as well!

I went out on an organised bike ride this morning. The biggest difference from going on your own is that you can’t alter pace to suit your own strengths and weaknesses but the requirement to follow a group ‘average’ is good training. Speed was a bit high for me but I did OK the first 2/3rds of the route losing the peloton when we hit the headwind. It was stronger today than yesterday averaging 25mph but gusting at 35mph – I actually had to pedal hard to maintain pace going DOWN a hill and when the road turned slightly and the wind gusted from the side….. It wasn’t great fun! Nice ride though at just over 30 miles with more fun to come.

Rest of the day included Aerial Pilates (like yesterday’s Aerial Yoga except modified to focus on core) and swimming. Although I am not fast and my technique is poor it’s good cardio training and I swam 1000m.

Just can’t decide what to do tomorrow in the morning before the Aquathlon…….
