Day 2 – Lochcarron to Kinlochewe – Pictures

Jun 4, 2019 | Scotland | The Highland 500

You never know how much you’ll miss decent internet and 3G/4G until you’re trying to upload photos! The first photos are of the approach and climb of Bealach Na Ba:

We should probably have realised at this point that climbing up there was not going to be ‘nice’ (It’s the faint dark mass in the misty raincloud).

This was looking back from about halfway up and the next photo was taken in the opposite direction looking at the top.

I didn’t bother with a picture at the top as nothing was visible!

The scenery during the rest of the day had its moments including a herd of ambivalent Highland cattle, one of whom stood calmly by the road eating and watching the world go by.

Would I climb Bealach Na Ba again? Certainly, so long as it’s a nice sunny day, around 20 Celsius, very little wind, great visibility and someone is waiting at the top with a coffee and some cake.
