Spring is finally here!

Saturday – 48 miles ridden, 720m climbed.

Sunday – 33 miles ridden, 480m climbed.

At last! It’s not raining, it’s kind of warm and I’ve got a couple of pretty clear weekend days.

Saturday’s ride criss-crossed the Chiltern Hills with over 700m of climbing. As you can see the view from the top of Ivinghoe Beacon was worth the climb even if the sky wasn’t clear blue.

There were lots of riders out but not many in shorts like me even if it was 16 Celsius.

Sunday was shorter but actually a bit harder due to an aggravating headwind which seemed to changed direction whenever I did BUT I dodged the rain so that was a result.

I will really crank up riding now – the Mississippi Ride starts three weeks on Tuesday. I am very excited – not just for the ride itself but to be seeing Paul, Ernie and Lon again. I wonder what will be the same as the last ride? What will be different and why? More on that soon.
