Where is it more windy than Lanzarote?

May 30, 2016 | blog, default

Well on Bank Holiday Monday it’s more windy here in Suffolk!!

Spending a few days near Southwold and enjoying cycling in a very different environment to home in the Chiltern Hills. Still working out new routes but aside from the A12 the roads are pretty quiet and the drivers you do come across tend to be far more patient and friendly than I’m used to. Not being quite so hilly I was hoping to enjoy ‘easier’ riding but the winds have been up around 20-25mph and coming from the North so at least it’s good training.

Great ride yesterday with my good friend and Dunwich Dynamo buddy Charlie Sayle – makes a very nice change to not to be riding alone.

Hoping for a couple of longer rides tomorrow and Wednesday but there is a storm warning tonight through tomorrow morning with winds predicted at up to 40mph so I may end up in the gym instead. Fingers crossed.
